Linocut printmaking
Reduction Linocut Workshop
Saturday 12 April 2025
10.30am - 4.30pm

Reduction linocut printing is a way of creating stunning multi-coloured, layered designs. The reduction technique uses a single lino block which is carved, inked and printed in stages, often leaving little to none of the lino block by the end of the process.
Please note: this workshop is designed for those with previous linocut printmaking experience. If you are a beginner, please see join Natasha's 'linocut for beginners' workshops.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to plan your lino block, how to register your blocks (keep them aligned) and how to print an edition of your artwork. During the session, you'll work on a 15cm x 20cm block. There is a maximum of 4 students per workshop so you will receive plenty of 1:1 support and guidance throughout the day.
You'll go home with a complete edition of your reduction linocut print.
All printmaking equipment is provided. Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Printmaking can be an inky business, so do bring an apron or wear clothes you don't mind getting messy!
This workshop is designed for adults, but students aged 16+ are welcome to join, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
Booking required.
